Playdate at Playland
On Sat., Jun. 27th, nearly 300 pediatric cancer patients from the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore enjoyed the rides, food and festivities during a family fun day at Rye Playland. The outing was sponsored by Adam Gaynes’ Foundation, which is also known as “Chillin’ with Adam”. The charity was founded by David and Arlene Gaynes, who lost their 11-year-old son Adam to a brain tumor in 2004.
The organization has raised over $2 million to fund programs at hospitals throughout New York, including the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, that help make life easier for children battling cancer.
