A rhythm for all

Dozens of music fans turned out for the First Annual International Music Festival held on Sun., Oct. 6th at Pelham Parkway North and Lurting Avenue. The event was hosted in collaboration with the Morris Park Association, State Senator Jeff Klein, Assemblymember Mark Gjonaj and Councilmember James Vacca, as well as sponsors such as The New York Daily News, BronxNet and Lasorsa Chevrolet.

Performers included representatives from from all genres, featuring popular groups and artists such as Just Nuts (American), Gene DiNapoli (oldies), Matt Violinist (instrumental hip-hop), Sterling Sample on Steel Drums (Caribbean), The Bronx Arts Ensemble (Classical), Los de Mexico (Mariachi), Lehman College Latin Band (Latin Jazz), the BHARATI Dance Academy (Bollywood), Freddy “Flip” Lando (Italian), and W.R.A.T.H, a young performer from Kingsbridge who celebrated his first album release.
