As Enrique Peña Nieto faces a new media setback with news he committed plagiarism in his undergraduate thesis (though without any consequences for that act),  his advisors decide that he should invite Donald Trump to meet with him in private in Mexico City. Within a few hours we will be able to see the results of the meeting. Certainly, it will not be favorable for Mexico. We only need to listen to Mike Pence’s recent statements that the meeting will serve as a forum to discuss and negotiate the wall to be built between the two nations.

The stupidity of the man who holds the highest office in my country is of little surprise at this point. But extending an invitation to a presidential candidate who has called your fellow countrymen rapists and thieves and who has labeled them as ignorant and illegal and generally wallowed in endless nonsense, seems illogical, idiotic, devoid of common sense and surrealistic.

Even for  Peña Nieto.

It is shameful that Donald Trump has been “invited” by Peña Nieto.

Mr. Trump, you’d better know that Mexicans don’t want you here.

We condemn your speech, your ways, your business, your candidacy, your wall, your interests, your campaign and everything that it stands for. That you meet with Peña Nieto will not win you supporters.

On the contrary, only a man like would accept the invitation of someone who has blood on his hands; someone who issues orders to kill students, journalists and opponents; someone who has sunk the people into misery, who sells the oil and the country’s energy resources to anyone; someone who lies, steals, and plagiarizes; someone who is the very face of corruption.

If Trump thinks that it is from our country that he will be able to relaunch his campaign and gain support from Latinos, he is very wrong. Peña Nieto might be fool enough to meet with him, but Latino voters in the United States will know not to believe either sinvergüenza.

Trump, go home.

Mientras Enrique Peña Nieto enfrenta un nuevo revés de los medios al demostrar que cometió plagio en su tesis de titulación de la licenciatura (sin que vaya a existir ninguna consecuencia por el acto), sus asesores deciden que debe invitar y reunirse con Donald Trump en privado. En unas horas podremos ver los resultados de la reunión, los cuales, sin duda, no serán favorables para México (basta escuchar las declaraciones que recientemente realizó Mike Pence respecto a que la reunión es para negociar y conversar sobre el muro que dividirá a las naciones).

No es sorpresa para nadie la estupidez del hombre que detenta el cargo más importante de mi país. Pero hacerle una invitación a tu casa a quien ha tachado de violadores, ladrones, ignorantes, ilegales y un sin fin de barbaridades a tus connacionales, me parece ilógico, idiota, falto de sentido común y hasta surrealista.

Es una vergüenza que Donald Trump haya sido “invitado” por Peña Nieto. Que sepa bien el señor Trump que los mexicanos no lo queremos aquí, que repudiamos su discurso, sus formas, sus negocios, su candidatura, su muro, sus intereses, su campaña y todo lo que representa. Que se reúna con Peña Nieto no le hará ganar partidarios, al contrario, solo un hombre como él puede aceptar visitar a quien tiene sangre en sus manos, a quien ordena asesinar estudiantes y opositores, a quien tiene sumido en la miseria a su pueblo, a quien vende el petróleo, los recursos energéticos y todo lo que se pueda a quien se pueda, a quien miente, roba, plagia, mata a sus familiares y es la misma cara de la corrupción.

Si Trump piensa que desde aquí podrá relanzar su campaña y ganar apoyo de los latinos, está muy equivocado. Peña Nieto será poco inteligente por recibirlo, pero los votantes latinos en Estados Unidos son muy inteligentes como para creerle.
