Annual Fall Festival
Bring your family for a fun-filled day at the Annual Fall Festival on Sat., Sept. 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Free giveaways, music, arts and crafts, and various resources for the community will be featured at Tremont Park between Tremont and Lafontaine Avenues. The event is presented by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Center for Health Equity, which works to ensure that every New Yorker, regardless of where they live, has the opportunity to lead their healthiest lives.

AIM Fellowship
Applications for the 40th cycle of the Bronx Museum’s AIM Fellowship are due by Mon., Sept. 30th.
Join a growing community of over 1,300 talented artists who have participated in the museum’s storied career development program. Since 1980, The Bronx Museum of the Arts has supported New York’s artist community through the AIM Fellowship (formerly Artist in the Marketplace). It is the museum’s flagship artist development program offering career management resources to guide visual artists through the often-opaque professional practices of the art world. Mentored by a distinguished faculty of industry experts, AIM Fellows engage in an intensive series of seminars and activities that aid artists in building sustainable studio practices while expanding peer and professional networks.

Fall Birding
On Sun., Sept. 8th Gabriel Willow shares his extensive knowledge of diverse bird species and their behavior on walks through the gardens and woodlands of Wave Hill. Observe the plants, insects and habitats at this famous greenspace that make it so appealing for such a wide variety of birds. The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. Birders of all levels welcome. Ages 10 and older are welcome with an adult. Free with admission to the grounds. NYC Audubon Members enjoy two-for-one admission. Wave Hill is located at West 249th St. and Independence Ave.

Small Business Workshop
Join “Conducting a Market Analysis” on Wed., Oct. 9th at 6:30 p.m., a small business workshop intended for business owners who want to learn how to conduct a market analysis to either start or grow their business. The workshop will be facilitated by Carmelo Alvarado, VP/Relationship Manager within TD Bank’s Commercial Lending Department. Admission is free but a RSVP is required. The workshop will take place at the TD Bank branch located at 640 Fordham Road.

African Multicultural Dance and Music Festival
The first annual African Heritage Multi-Cultural Music & Dance Festival in the Bronx will take place on Wed., Sept. 18th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hostos Community College. This festival is a celebration of African cultures through music, dance, storytelling, and poetry. The event is organized by the African Advisory Council of the Bronx Borough President’s Office.
Hostos Community College is located at 500 Grand Concourse.

Festival anual de otoño

Beca AIM

Festival Africano de Danza y Música Multicultural
