The instant sibling rivalry must soon be put aside when Tim discovers that Boss Baby is actually a spy on a secret mission, and only he can help thwart a plot that involves a battle between puppies and babies. Do your part to eliminate pollution with Project WASTE (Water and Street Trash Elimination) on Sat., Aug. 5th at 10:30 a.m. The event is part of the Bronx River Alliance’s hands-on outreach strategy which includes trash collection and assessment. Volunteers will count, assess, and remove trash from the Muskrat Cove boom and tally the floatable trash into distinct categories. Information on the quantity, toxicity, material, and brands of trash will help to identify sources of pollution and to eventually inform communities, businesses and municipal officials. Observe the complex floral drawings of contemporary artist Nancy Blum at the Hudson River Museum on Wed., Aug. 9th. Wave Hill Director of Arts and Senior Curator Jennifer McGregor, will share the many ways in which Victorian design informs Blum’s works. Following her illustrated talk, guests will explore the fields of flowers in the Museum’s Victorian home with McGregor, and Laura Vookles, the Chair of the Hudson River Museum’s Curatorial Department. Appreciate the great outdoors through catch-and-release fishing at Van Cortlandt Park on Sun., Aug. 13th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Experienced Park Rangers will teach attendees the ethics of fishing and the ecology of the city’s waterways. The programs range from using simple bamboo poles at a quiet lake to more advanced salt water programs. All equipment will be provided. This program is intended for guests aged 8 years and older.
