Welcome home Spiderman at Concrete Plant Park on Fri., Jun. 29th from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Gather with your neighbors to watch Peter Parker in Spiderman: Homecoming as he returns to New York City after helping the Avengers. Parker tries to go back to his normal routine as a teenager, but his aspirations for super-hero status might prove to be an obstacle. Tree Tribute
Pay tribute to the trees at the Wave Hill House on Sat., Jun. 30th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. These plants enclosed in bark and covered in leaves provide a multitude of services for humankind including shade, food, beauty and oxygen. Why not make them the center of your art by showcasing them on a canvas bag? Use stencils and fabric paints in form of sprays, stamps and crayons to make your own reusable bag while honoring the natural areas in the Bronx. Wave Hill is located at 675 West 252nd Street.

Attracting Pollinators
Spread the pollen at New Roots Community Farm on Thurs., Jun. 28th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Learn about the importance of local pollinators and how to create gardens that attract them. This workshop will teach participants how to identify native plants and host the critters found on the farm. There will also be time to observe and discuss design elements of the pollinator gardens. For the last half hour, join Citizens Committee and Butterfly Project NYC to learn how to conduct a butterfly count for long-term data on butterfly populations. Consider the contemporary women of Iran at the Bronx Museum on Sat., June 23rd from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The Board of Trustees of the Bronx Museum of the Arts will be hosting an opening reception for the early work of photojournalist Randy H. Goodman. Starting in 1979, Goodman spent four decades visiting the country at crucial moments of its political history, documenting the changes in the everyday lives of Iranian women.
