Join the Bronx River Alliance as its team begins oyster reef monitoring on Mon., June 12th at 7:00 a.m. The monitoring session will last approximately 3.5-4 hours, depending on the tide. Volunteers will enter the water and wade out to the reef with chest waders to perform hands-on monitoring and data collection. Volunteers are asked to bring a bottle of water, hat or sunscreen, wear socks, and weather appropriate clothing. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/2qOGLzp. Find your center in the gardens of Wave Hill on Sun., June 11th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Enjoy a morning yoga class on the lawn. Participants should bring a mat, dress appropriately and expect to be outside, unless precipitation or excessive humidity occurs. Classes are offered in partnership with Yoga Haven. Saddle up for an afternoon of pony rides at Van Cortlandt Park on Sun., June 18th from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. In celebration of Father’s Day, the Van Cortlandt Park Conservancy is hosting free pony rides at the Riverdale Stables.
