Understanding Your Commercial Lease
The Third Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) will be hosting a commercial lease information workshop on Thurs., Mar. 26th at 6:00 p.m. This workshop, part of the Small Business 101 Training Program, assists future and current business owners in understanding the commercial leasing process, common hurdles to leasing, and areas to focus on during the lease negotiation process. Led by Stephen Kaufman, Esq. in partnership with the Third Avenue BID and the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, this workshop is meant to provide an overview of best practices for lease negotiations. One-on-one consultations can be scheduled after this initial training. The workshop will take place at the BID’s offices, which are located on 2825 Third Avenue.

Sylvia Cuenca in Concert
The Jazz Foundation of America presents a performance by drummer Sylvia Cuenca on Sat., Mar. 21st at 2:00 p.m. An active drummer on the NYC music scene, Sylvia Cuenca has performed around the world with many jazz greats, including four years with saxophone legend Joe Henderson and 17 years with trumpet legend Clark Terry. Cuenco has performed on jazz cruises and at clubs, concerts and festivals in the U.S. Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. The concert will take place at Poe Park located at 2640 Grand Concourse.

Entendiendo su arrendamiento comercial
El Distrito de Mejoramiento de la Tercera Avenida (BID, por sus siglas en inglés) organizará un taller de información de arrendamiento comercial el jueves 26 de marzo a las 6:00 p.m. Este taller, que forma parte del Programa de Capacitación Small Business 101, ayuda a los propietarios de negocios actuales y futuros a comprender el proceso de arrendamiento comercial, los obstáculos comunes al arrendamiento y las áreas en las que se debe enfocar durante el proceso de negociación del arrendamiento. Dirigido por Stephen Kaufman, Esq., en asociación con el BID de la Tercera Avenida y la Cámara de Comercio del Bronx, este taller tiene como objetivo proporcionar una visión general de las mejores prácticas para las negociaciones de arrendamiento. Se pueden programar consultas individuales después de esta capacitación inicial. El taller tendrá lugar en las oficinas del BID, ubicadas en el No. 2825 de la Tercera avenida.

La Fundación de Jazz de los Estados Unidos presenta una actuación de la baterista Sylvia Cuenca el sábado 21 de marzo a las 2:00 p.m. Una baterista activa en la escena musical de Nueva York, Sylvia Cuenca ha actuado en todo el mundo con muchos grandes del jazz, incluidos cuatro años con la leyenda del saxofón Joe Henderson y 17 años con la leyenda de la trompeta Clark Terry.
