Enjoy the eclectic sounds of Sweet Plantain at Wave Hill on Sun., Mar. 6th at 2 p.m. The band consists of four classically trained musicians who fuse their skills, diverse backgrounds and varied musical interests to bridge the gap between genres and generations. Join fellow writers at the Kingsbridge Library on Mon., Mar. 7th at 12:30 p.m. for a Reminiscence Theatre workshop series. Led by teaching artist Sobha Kavanakudiyil, participants will learn memoir-style short story writing and basic theatre techniques to present their stories. They will work with peers to create, develop and perform a short story based on a memory from their lives, which will be presented at a culminating event and might be recorded as part of an oral history project.
