Music and Mimosas at the Mansion
Sip mimosas and listen to live music at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum on Sat., Feb. 11th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The renowned woodwind ensemble Quintet of the Americas will perform live. The group was formed in Bogota, Colombia in 1976 by U.S. citizens who were former wind players in the Colombian National Orchestra. After relocating to New York City in 1979, the group went on to perform throughout the Americas, the Caribbean and Asia. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/2iutu9C. Bronx-bots
The Kingsbridge Library welcomes young engineers to try robotics on Thurs., Feb. 2nd and 9th at 4:00 p.m. The hands-on robotics workshop for children will teach guests about the basics of circuitry, conductivity, motor-operation and robot building. Instructors will also lead a discussion about real-life robots and the different roles they play in everyday life. Due to limited space, registration is required by phone or in person at the branch. The event is intended for youths aged 5-12 years. The library is located at 291 West 231st Street.

Kicking it at the Oval
Give yourself a full body workout at the Williamsbridge Recreation Center on Sat., Jan. 28th from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The goal is to increase your heart rate through squatting, punching and crunching and learning a variety of kickboxing moves. This event is intended for young adults and older. The center is located at 208th Street and Bainbridge Avenue.

Social Security Workshop
Curious about Social Security, Medicare, or taxes? Get helpful information at Bronx Library Center on Sat., Feb. 4th starting at 12:00 p.m. Guests will learn how these three systems are intertwined in regards to timing of enrollment. The workshop will also address Social Security spousal and survivor benefits, Medicare coverage and how tax brackets impact Medicare premiums. The center is located at 310 East Kingsbridge Road.

Seal Searching
Scan for seals at the New York Harbor Estuary on Sun., Jan. 15th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. As part of the Exploration Series, Urban Park Rangers will guide guests to the best wildlife viewing spots in the urban jungle. Participants are surprised to find that what may look like a rock in the distance may actually be a seal. The group will meet at Section 2 of Orchard Beach at Pelham Bay Park.
