Remembering Happy Land

Family and friends of the 87 victims of the Happy Land Social Club fire gathered on Fri., Mar. 21st for the 24th consecutive year.
Survivors and first responders were also in attendance, together in remembrance of the evening in 1990, when Julio González set fire to the Happy Land Social Club.
The day began with a memorial mass held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was followed with a procession up Southern Boulevard to the park dedicated to those killed.
