The first baby of 2016 born in the Bronx was officially announced as Novahlyn Caraballo, born at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln at 12:22 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
Her mother, Rosana Álvarez, was also born at Lincoln years earlier and still lives near the hospital.
Both the baby girl, who weighed 6 lbs. 4.9 oz., and her mother were reported to be doing well.

El primer bebe del 2016 nacido en el Bronx fue anunciado oficialmente como Novahlyn Caraballo, nacida en NYC Health+Hospitals/Lincoln a las 12:22 a.m. el Día de Año Nuevo. Su madre, Rosana Alvarez, también nació en el Lincoln años antes y todavía vive cerca del hospital.
