Bronx-Whitestone Bridge Construction

Bronx-Whitestone Bridge Work Results In Two Bronx-bound Lanes Closed

The Bronx-Whitestone Bridge will have two northbound lanes to the Bronx closed between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. Fri., Sept. 5 into Sat., Sept. 6 while new concrete is poured. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use the Throgs Neck Bridge as an alternate.

There is no asphalt and binder work at the Throgs Neck Bridge this weekend. Three lanes in each direction will be available for motorists.

While work at the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge is completed, there will be two lanes open southbound into Queens and one lane northbound to the Bronx. One lane is closed around-the-clock for the ongoing Bronx-Whitestone Queens Approach widening and reconstruction project.
