His tweets about Nordstrom were particularly terrifying. He’s actually spending time thinking about his daughter’s business, when he is supposed to be President of the entire country and help the country prosper. On the other hand, his ideas about helping the country don’t seem particularly good. For instance, arresting and deporting immigrants hits me like a punch to the gut. The strictly legal argument that removing people who supposedly don’t belong here has in effect demonstrated itself as an inhumanly cruel policy that rips families apart and destroys the lives of the people who have been deported. These so-called “illegals” have been living productive lives. They are working hard and contributing to building our nation. It is ironic in the extreme that a billionaire President who was given $14 million as a gift by his father to start his business, who has been in violation of the Constitution from the moment he was sworn in, due to his complex web of business conflicts with his public responsibilities, is using a legal argument to deport people who are merely trying to make a decent living and survive. The President screams that his extremely wealthy daughter has been treated unfairly because Nordstrom has dropped her product lines. But with the stroke of a pen, this man, our President, sends desperate people away with nothing, depositing them outside the nation’s borders as if they were pieces of trash. How is it possible that this nation of immigrants gets rid of its immigrants? His illegal travel ban didn’t include people from Saudi Arabia, where most of the 9/11 terrorists were from, or Pakistan, which shelters and aids the Taliban, who are Muslim extremists trying to destroy an elected government and institute a freedom-destroying regime that is the very definition of the Islamic radicalism Trump decries. Why? Does he have business interests in either country? And why is so soft on Russia? Does he owe the Russians money? Does he own stakes in Russian oil companies? Is self-interest guiding his policies on drilling and transporting fossil fuels, which are destroying our ability to live on this planet? We don’t know because the President won’t release his tax returns. Everything the President does is under an absolute cloud of suspicion because we don’t know what his business conflicts are. Yet he deports hard-working people because they are “illegal”. We are at the mercy of a cheap dime store demagogue who threatens our freedom and prosperity and makes a mockery of the rule of law. Our already great country does not deserve the casual cruelty, the pathological twisting of facts and the inhuman sickness offered up daily by this White House. Realmente pasa tiempo pensando en los negocios de su hija, cuando se supone que es el presidente de todo el país y ayuda al país a prosperar. El argumento estrictamente legal de retirar a personas que supuestamente no pertenecen aquí, se ha mostrado por sí misma como una política inhumanamente cruel que separa a las familias y destruye la vida de las personas que han sido deportadas. Estos llamados “ilegales” han estado viviendo vidas productivas, trabajando duro y contribuyen a la construcción de nuestra nación. Es irónico al extremo que un presidente multimillonario quien recibió $14 millones de dólares como regalo de su padre para iniciar su propio negocio, quien ha violado la Constitución desde su toma de protesta debido a su compleja red de conflictos comerciales con sus responsabilidades públicas, está usando un argumento legal para deportar a personas que simplemente están tratando de hacer una vida decente y sobrevivir. El presidente grita que su hija extremadamente rica ha sido tratada injustamente porque Nordstrom ha abandonado sus líneas de producto. Pero con el trazo de una pluma, este hombre, nuestro presidente, envía afuera a gente desesperada con las manos vacías, depositándolos en las fronteras de la nación como si fueran piezas de basura. ¿Cómo es posible que esta nación de inmigrantes se deshaga de sus inmigrantes? Su prohibición ilegal de viajar no incluía a personas de Arabia Saudí, de donde eran la mayoría de los terroristas del 9/11, o de Pakistán, que alberga y ayuda a los talibanes, quienes son extremistas musulmanes que intentan destruir un gobierno electo e instituyen un régimen que destruye la libertad y que es la definición misma del radicalismo islámico que Trump condena. No lo sabemos porque el presidente no publicará sus declaraciones de impuestos. Todo lo que el presidente hace está bajo una nube absoluta de sospechas porque no sabemos cuáles son sus conflictos comerciales. Sin embargo, deporta gente trabajadora porque son “ilegales”. Estamos a merced de un demagogo barato de una tienda de baratijas que amenaza nuestra libertad y prosperidad y hace una burla del estado de derecho. Nuestro ya grande país no merece la crueldad casual, la torcedura patológica de los hechos y la inhumana enfermedad ofrecida diariamente por esta Casa Blanca.
