37th Annual Columbus Day Parade

Several thousand Bronxites gathered along Morris Park Avenue to celebrate Italian heritage during the 37th Annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade, held on Sun., Oct. 13th. Serving as Grand Marshal was actor Chazz Palminteri. In attendance were numerous elected officials and community leaders, including Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr.; Public Advocate-elect Letitia “Tish” James; and New York City mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio. The daylong event kicked-off with a breakfast at St. Dominic’s Church and ended with a late afternoon concert in Loreto Park.
