The city unveiled the color of the new taxicab for the outer boroughs and northern Manhattan this past Sun., Apr. 29th at a morning press conference at City Hall Plaza that featured a Prius model painted in what Mayor Michael Bloomberg called, “green apple.”

Cinco de Mayo, to be clear, is not the 16th of September.
The latter is the national Mexican celebration of its Independence Day.
The former is a day celebrated nationwide in the United States that honors Mexican heritage and pride, and commemorates El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (The Day of the Battle of Puebla).
That said, it’s also a terrific excuse to indulge in a perfectly composed margarita and delicious Mexican food, both of which can be found in a number of Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants which abound locally.
